India vs West Indies: The team India Captain Virat Kohli refuses to do the pre-departure ritual this time as he will not be interacting in any kind of interviews prior departing for West Indies tour.
The Indian Cricket Team leaves for the US on Monday night with 2 T20I games scheduled in Florida followed by another T20I, 3 ODIs and 2 Test matches in West Indies.
With several reports and rumours of disputes between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the pre-series media queries would have been quite a heavy weight to be lifted.
Both the batting pros have expressed a huge respect and gratitude for each other’s game over the years. But reports have claimed that there has been escalated tensions after the disagreement on family time during the tour between the two cricketers.
Both of the cricketers get to spend their time with their family at time of tours as Virat utilizes the moment with wife Anushka and Rohit with his wife Ritika and daughter Samaira.
Now, as BCCI modifies the family clause, empowering the captain and coach to decide on any divergence in family time during the tour, things could further worsen.
The India Cricket Team Captain was spotted singing National Anthem at a Kabaddi event on Saturday evening in Mumbai. However, a pre-planned red carpet for the same event was cancelled as well.
Although there may be chances of Virat Kohli attending promotional events, he won’t be answering to any questions from the media.
At the other hand, Rohit has maintained a stoic silence on the matter denying any interviews so far despite a star individual performance in the World Cup.
