Cricket, a game that has gained an immense popularity for past few decades. Historically, cricket is originated from the UK. The expansion of the British Empire also led to the expansion of the game globally. Cricket was amongst prominent games in London as early as 1707 and, in the mid of the century. Cricket is the only game which is liked by most of the people. Also, the game has gone through major developments in the 18th century and become England’s national sport.

International cricket is dominated by the countries like, Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the West Indies. Today the sport is played in 104 countries. Initially it started with test matches in which the game was played continuously for five days with unlimited overs, in which each team would bat for two innings of unlimited length; however, today we have various formats ranging from Twenty20, which is played for a couple of hours with each team batting for a single innings of 20 overs, to IPL, again Twenty20 cricket league, which was introduced in India itself.
