The movie is inspired by a true story of the MIT Blackjack of students who were trained to become experts in card counting and took Las Vegas casinos for millions in winnings. The story revolves around Ben Campbell who strives to go to Hardvard Medical School and desire to become a doctor. His math professor recruited him to join a secretive club of five to make hundreds of thousands of dollars in winning jackpot at casinos.

Rounders

A 1998 American drama film about the underground world of high stakes poker directed by John Dahl. The story is about two friends who need to win high stakes poker to quickly pay off a large bet. The main character Mike McDermott is a law student who has a talent for poker. After losing a game against a Russian gangster he decides to quit poker and focus on his studies. However, his childhood friend had released from prison but owes a lot of money to someone. Therefore, Mike decided to go back to playing poker which is a desperate move to help out his friend.

The Gambler

A 1974 American crime drama film written by James Toback. The story is focused on a literature professor Alex Feed who has gambling addiction that becomes out of control. Hence, when he has lost all of his money, he borrowed from his girlfriend, then to his mother and finally chased by bad guys.
