Gorodetsky is a New Trier High School graduate who grew up in North Shore. His father is a radiologist and his mother works in real estate. According to research, Gorodetsky used to gamble online since his high school days. His success rate from that era, however, remains unknown. He also joined the University of Arizona after completing high school. But he dropped out of there soon after joining.
Gorodetsky came into the limelight in 2017, at the height of his fraud. He was probably one of the most controversial yet compelling figures in sports betting. He attained his limelight by the way he portrayed his lifestyle on social media. Making gambling seem like something lavish. The young fans he influenced wanted to be like him.
