The T20 World Cup champions have announced their squad for the first two T20 International matches against Zimbabwe. Some of the star players from the World Cup squad will be resting this one out. According to the  Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), they need a well-deserved break. Thus, a group of promising players will play in the early stages of the Zimbabwe tour, for Ind vs Zim.

As per the recent update, Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana will replace  Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal. The off-duty players will join the Indian squad in the remaining matches of the series.

Surrey player Sai Sudharsan, receiving his maiden call-up to the India T20I squad, joins the squad in Harare on July 4. Following a challenging IPL season, the wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma also gets a chance to renew his recent form. Meanwhile, Harisht Rana earns the first call-up to the Indian team after a formidable IPL feat. 

Shubman Gill takes on his duty as the captain of the T20I squad. He allies with other talented players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Abhishek Sharma, and Rinku Singh. The series will start on July 6 at Harare Sports Club.
