The Indian Premier League is not only great for entertainment purposes but also because it gives birth to great players. There are a lot of young talents in the international fields today, who got their big break in IPL. For instance, India’s young squad defeated Australia in their fortress Gabba and a lot of those players first emerged from IPL.
The Indian Cricket Team’s future looks very bright because of these young people with raw talents who unleash all their power to win in the field. Ravi Bishnoi is at the top of the list. This very talented bowler is in the team Punjab Kings this IPL. In domestic cricket, he plays for Rajasthan. In IPL 2020, he took 12 wickets in the 14 matches he played. This right-arm leg spinner was also a part of India’s under-19 squad in World Cup 2020. Where he finished as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker with seventeen wickets in his bag. He is someone to look forward to for every cricket fan, and also a strong contender for the Emerging player of the year award.
This 19-year-old is an emerging talent for sure. In the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup tournament, he was declared man of the tournament for scoring over 400 runs. This left-handed opening batsman is playing for the Rajasthan Royals this year, and we are all hoping to see a great performance from this youngster. His rags to riches story through hard work is also inspirational for our youth.
This 22-year-old made it to our list for his promising future. He is a batsman as well as a wicket-keeper which means he has big shoes to fill. He was the captain of the Indian Under-19 team in 2015. Kishan plays for the Mumbai Indians. He made 1211 runs in the IPL in just 46 innings which is great news for his team. But he is also a great wicket-keeper which he has proved numerous times. This youngster might help his team bag consecutive wins this year. He is definitely someone to look out for.
This 20-year-old has surprised everyone with his talent and stamina. He played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last IPL and bagged the Emerging Player of the tournament trophy. He is an opening batsman who played 15 matches in IPL 2020 and made 473 runs. With a stellar strike rate of 124.8. Therefore, this left-handed batsman is a beacon of hope for his team and their supporters. We are all hoping to see another stellar performance from this Karnataka youngster this year.
Chahar is a cricketer everyone expects great things from. He plays domestically for Rajasthan and is a member of the Mumbai Indians in IPL. Even though he’s just 21, he already made his international debut in the Indian Cricket Team in 2019 against West Indies. He is a right-arm leg-break bowler who has an amazing googly. In IPL he took 30 wickets in 30 innings. He has been playing for the Mumbai Indians since 2018 and everyone is hoping to see him help them bag another win this year as well.
This is our list of the most promising young players in this IPL. There are other young players with a lot of potentials as well. For example, Shivam Mavi (Kolkata Knight Riders), Kamalesh Nagarkoti (Kolkata Knight Riders), Ruturaj Gaikwad (Chennai Super Kings), Shubman Gill (Kolkata Knight Riders), Arshdeep Singh (Punjab Kings), and many more. Promising players emerged from different countries as well. This year’s IPL has a plethora of young talents. Everyone is looking forward to seeing the new perspective they bring to the T-20 format of cricket. Hopefully, they’ll play to their full potential and be aggressive on the field to defeat their opponents and bag the trophy.
