The squads were announced on Thursday, June 11, by the selection committee led by S Sharath. The tour will consist of three one-day matches and two multi-day matches beginning July 4, 2026.
Selection Details and Team Leadership
The Junior Cricket Committee chose a talented group of young players to travel to Sri Lanka. Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan will lead the team as the captain for both the one-day and multi-day formats. Meanwhile, Lakshya Raichandani will support him as the vice-captain across both versions of the game.

Anvay Dravid features specifically in the 15-member one-day squad. He will share wicketkeeping duties with Rajat Baghel during the white-ball matches. However, the selectors chose a different pair of wicketkeepers, Manav Krishna and Aryan Sandesh Sakpal, for the red-ball multi-day matches.
Anvay Dravid’s Recent Cricket Form
Anvay Dravid earned his selection in the national team after impressive performances in domestic cricket. He recently captained the Karnataka Under-19 team to the quarterfinals of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. During that tournament, he showed great skill with the bat and finished as one of the top scorers for his side.
Anvay scored 220 runs in six matches at a brilliant average of 55.00. His highest score was an unbeaten 82 against Himachal Pradesh, batting at number four and taking his side to victory in a challenging run chase. Additionally, he scored another half-century during the tournament in Dehradun.
Earlier in his career, Anvay also made a mark in the Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy by scoring his maiden century. He was a part of India B Under-19 in a tri-series against Afghanistan in November 2025. Although he did not score runs in his only match during that series, he performed well behind the stumps by taking two catches.

Tour Schedule and Venues
The tour of Sri Lanka provides young Indian cricketers with vital international experience. The matches take place in three different cities: Hambantota, Galle, and Colombo.
The series begins with three one-day matches in Hambantota. These games will start at 10:00 AM local time on July 4, July 6 and July 9.
After the one-day series, the team will play two multi-day matches. The first four-day game happens in Galle from July 13 to July 16. The second and final four-day game takes place in Colombo from July 20 to July 23.
