England Announce 2027 Home Summer Schedule Featuring Men’s and Women’s Ashes

England 2027 home schedule

The England and Wales Cricket Board officially released the 2027 home international schedule on 23 July 2026. This blockbuster summer features three different Ashes series against Australia for the England Men, Women, and Mixed Disability teams.

The action begins in May with white-ball matches against Pakistan and continues through September with series against Bangladesh and New Zealand. The Menโ€™s and Womenโ€™s Ashes run at the same time during June and July.

England Menโ€™s Ashes 2027 Fixtures and Venue History

The Menโ€™s Rothesay Ashes series serves as the main event of the 2027 summer. England Men start their journey at Trent Bridge on Friday 18 June. This venue brings back good memories for England fans because the team has won their last three Ashes Tests there. Specifically, fans remember the 2015 victory where Australia fell for just 60 runs in the opening session.

After the opening match in Nottingham, the series moves to Lordโ€™s for the second Test starting on 30 June. The third Test takes place at Edgbaston in Birmingham from 8 July. Consequently, the teams will then travel to the Utilita Bowl in Southampton for a historic fourth Test on 21 July. This marks the first time the Southampton venue will host a Menโ€™s Ashes Test match. Finally, the series concludes at the Kia Oval in London from 29 July.

Womenโ€™s Ashes 2027 Multi-Format Schedule

The Metro Bank Womenโ€™s Ashes will run alongside the men’s series during the peak of the summer. This multi-format series begins with a standalone Rothesay Ashes Test at Headingley on Thursday 24 June. Notably, this is the first time Leeds has hosted a Womenโ€™s Ashes Test since 2001. England Women are desperate to win after drawing the series last time Australia visited three years ago.

Following the Test match, the rivalry moved into a three-match Vitality IT20 series. The first T20 match happens at Trent Bridge on 3 July, followed by matches at the Kia Oval and Emirates Old Trafford. Afterward, the teams compete in three Metro Bank ODIs. These matches will take place at the Utilita Bowl, Lordโ€™s, and Edgbaston, with the final game on 20 July.

Early Summer Series Against Pakistan and Bangladesh

Before the Ashes begins, England Men open the home season with a five-match Metro Bank ODI series against Pakistan. The first match starts at the Utilita Bowl on Saturday 15 May. The series then travels to Manchester, Leeds, Chester-le-Street, and Cardiff. These games help the team prepare for future global tournaments.

Furthermore, Bangladesh arrives for a one-off Rothesay Test match at Lordโ€™s starting on Friday 28 May. This event is significant because it is the first time Bangladesh has played a Test match in England since 2010. This match fills the gap between the Pakistan series and the start of the major Ashes events.

Fixtures for Disability Cricket

A major highlight of the 2027 schedule is the inclusion of the England Menโ€™s Mixed Disability team. They will host Australia for an Ashes series of their own. ECB Chief Executive Officer Richard Gould described this as a landmark moment for the sport.

While the exact dates and venues for these matches are still being confirmed, their inclusion ensures that three different England teams face Australia in one summer.
