Who Are Charged and Their Roles
The Bangladesh Cricket Board Integrity Unit charged Mohammad Abdul Kayum Rashed and Md Amin Khan after examining their franchise roles. Rashed previously owned the Chattogram Royals franchise during the 12th edition of the league in the 2024–25 season. Investigators focused on his management decisions and administrative actions during his ownership.
Khan worked as a team official across two franchises over two consecutive tournament seasons. He initially served as a team official for Durbar Rajshahi during the 2024–25 season. He then moved to Chattogram Royals to work as a team official during the 2025–26 season. Both positions gave these officials direct access to players, team staff, and match operations during tournament fixtures.
Charges Under the ICC Anti-Corruption Code
The Integrity Unit charged Rashed and Khan under several articles of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code relating to corrupting cricket matches. The unit charged Rashed under Articles 2.1.1, 2.1.4, 2.4.4, 2.4.6, and 2.4.7. The unit charged Khan under Articles 2.1.1, 2.1.4, 2.4.6, and 2.4.7. Article 2.1.1 covers attempts to fix or improperly influence the outcome, progress, or conduct of an official match. Article 2.1.4 penalises soliciting, inducing, enticing, or intentionally facilitating any participant to engage in corrupt conduct.
Article 2.4.4 penalises failing to disclose full details of any corrupt approach to anti-corruption officers without delay. Article 2.4.6 penalises refusing or failing to cooperate with a reasonable investigation. Article 2.4.7 covers obstructing or delaying an inquiry, including concealing or destroying relevant evidence. They are charged with attempts to influence matches, failure to report approaches, non-cooperation with officers, and obstruction of official inquiries.
Provisional Suspension as Legal Process Continues
The BCB suspended Rashed and Khan from all cricket activities. This provisional suspension bans them from attending matches, holding franchise roles, or entering official cricket facilities. The board served formal Notices of Charge to both men outlining the allegations against them. Under disciplinary rules, both officials have exactly 14 days from receiving these notices to file their written responses.
Rashed and Khan can either admit the allegations or request a formal hearing before an independent anti-corruption tribunal. The BCB confirmed that it will make no further public comments while the legal process continues.

In May 2026, the BCB Integrity Unit charged four individuals with anti-corruption code violations. That initial group included domestic cricketer Amit Majumder alongside team officials and franchise owners.
